Biography

"Also known as 54 Vision, DizneyFist was an experimental hardcore band from Staten Island, NY that dates back to 1995 but didn't release their first record until 2000. Their debut album was entitled 54 Vision but was released under the DizneyFist band moniker. The band's follow-up record, One Way Trip to DizneyFist, was released under the 54 Vision name in 2001 and featured some re-recordings of the band's earlier songs as well as new tracks. DizneyFist/54 Vision officially disbanded in 2003 when founding members Leo and Robi left the band to pursue other interests, although the original members do get together from time to time and play a show with the bands they once shared the NJ/NY scene with."[1]

"Each member attended the same guitar class in New Dorp High School in Staten Island, NY. On December 8th, 1995, Vinny, Leo, Chris and Robi formed the band DizneyFist. Each member's taste in music differed and this turned out to be the best ingredient. They managed to combine various musical styles to create unique compositions.

For many years they have been playing shows around the New York tri-state area. Their fans became attracted not only to their music but also to the positive message being promoted. Dizney Fist offered positivity as an outlook on life instead of the too-familiar pessimism cried about by other heavy-rock bands. Thanks to 2 devoted DJs, D-Nice and Julia (now on 103.5 fm KTU) DF 's first single, "G-man," made its debut on 89.5 fm, WSOU, as a "Street Patrol" cut. As their fan base increased, DF made it to regular rotation on the airwaves of Seton Hall's Pirate Radio.

At the beginning of 2000, DF's 1st album entitled "54Vision" was released with songs such as "Life," "Hope Lost" and "Colors In Division" being among the favorites of WSOU. With this record, DF became one of the admired bands that made it out of Staten Island and into the homes of many within the northern east coast. For the next year and half they plerformed many venues and experimented with new ideas. In the fall of 2001 the 2nd album entitled "One way trip to Dizney Fist" was recorded and released. It included such favorites as "Paradox Time" and "information overload." Also, a 5th member, Joe, was added to play guitar. With this new record DF changed their name to "54Vision." In late December of 2001, they made their debut on the top ten countdown of WSOU. With this new record their sounds have expanded to cover more musical creative territory and the expansion seemed to be unbounded.

Vinny and Joe have resigned from the group in 2003 to pursue individual musical interests. Chris, Robi and Leo continued to represent the essence of 54Vision. They performed acoustic sets and continued to write new music while at the same time composing individual projects. The saga of 54Vision has come to an end on February 10th, 2006 after their decade anniversary reunion show. Just as there was DizneyFist and then 54Vision, we are proud to introduce the "D'Echo Project" survived by Leo and Robi. Please visit www.dechoproject.com for more information."[2]
