Biography

13 Faces formed in the suburban area of North Royalton, Ohio with a goal of creating some of the most aggressive hardcore possible while still keeping strong, memorable hooks. Built around guitarist John Comprix and vocalist Runt Runt, the band developed their sound in a very DIY setting, rehearsing and recording in Comprix’s living room. Their music blends hardcore intensity with metal influence, inspired by bands like Integrity, Hatebreed, D.R.I., Sworn Enemy, and Slipknot.

Their debut album These Bloody Hands, released on Bandaloop Records, captured their raw and fast style with short, heavy tracks built around groove and impact. Lyrically driven by Runt Runt, the songs explore personal frustration, dark imagery, and social anger, though the band frames it as expression rather than literal intent. With early support from the Ohio hardcore scene and recognition from musicians like Frank Novinec of Ringworm, 13 Faces built a reputation as a band that connects with a wide range of heavy music fans through intensity, honesty, and relentless energy.
