Biography

The Deadlights were an American Nu Metal band formed in 1998 out of Huntington Beach, California. They would play the second stage of Ozzfest in 2000, the same year in which they released their lone full length album. Four promotional singles ('Bitter', 'Amplifier', 'Nothing' and 'Sweet Oblivion') would be released from the album, as well as low-budget videos for both 'Sweet Oblivion' and 'Junk'. The band would take part in the "Road Rage 2000" tour alongside Type O Negative, Coal Chamber and Full Devil Jacket, as well as playing shows with the likes of Static-X, Slipknot, Primer 55, Dope, Biohazard, Apartment 26, Drain STH, Disturbed & Mugg.

After the band broke up in 2001, Jerry Montano would join Nothingface as their bassist and, later on, be the short-lived bassist for supergroup Hellyeah before being abruptly fired after their CD release party due to assaulting bandmate Tom Maxwell and making gun threats. Duke Collins would go on to play bass in the band Droid around the time of their self-titled (and final) full length release. Duke would pass away in 2015 and the remaining members of The Deadlights would play a one-off reunion show in March 2016 with Sean Delatour taking over vocal duties.
