Biography

"Hailing from the DC/Baltimore metro area , Striknine was formed in the summer of 1999, by current members Dave Eaton, Jon Letzkus and Rob Holland, dissatisfied with the status quo, the three were determined to realize their musical vision and formed Striknine to achieve what they had only dreamed of. Their expectations were met and exceeded, as Striknine has unquestionably redefined the metal genre.

Drawing upon its wealth of talent and the diverse musical interests of its members, Striknine has birthed a dark and sinister sound that its members have dubbed "amorphic metal". Combining the best of traditional death, black and gothic metal styles, Striknine's amorphic metal stands alone by virtue of its depth, power and emotion, led by its unrivaled sound, Striknine has truly succeeded in bringing new blood to a music scene that has languished in rehashed content.

Due to this unique ideology, Striknine has an astounding stage presence and has quickly risen to the forefront of the local music scene. Striknine's performances completely, envelop its audience, allowing the band to bond with its listeners, and imbue an unmistakable, lingering rancor and vitally.

Thus, it comes as no comes as no surprise that Striknine has already performed with bands such as Testament, Spineshank, Vanilla Ice, Nonpoint, Chimaira, Mudvayne and Dying Fetus. Armed with a new musical perspective and the wrath, defiance and conviction to back it, Striknine strands prepared to storm the national metal scene and shatter tradition."
