Nu-Metal Preservation

A community-built digital archive dedicated to documenting, verifying, and preserving nu-metal releases before rare media disappears.

Our Mission

Nu-Metal Preservation (NMP) is a community-driven digital archive dedicated to preserving music from the nu-metal genre and its related sub-genres. Our focus is on locating, documenting, and preserving physical and digital releases, especially rare demos, regional albums, independent CDs, promos, and other media at risk of being lost to time.

Many physical releases are vulnerable to damage, scarcity, and disc rot. By organizing verified information, preserving high-quality scans, documenting sources, and tracking missing materials, NMP helps keep this music accessible for future listeners, researchers, collectors, and fans.

Why This Matters

Many nu-metal demos, promos, regional releases, and independent CDs were produced in small quantities and are becoming harder to find every year. Some exist only in private collections, aging discs, old hard drives, incomplete online listings, or forgotten local scenes.

NMP helps preserve this history by documenting releases, tracking sources, saving scans, verifying rips, and identifying what still needs to be found before it disappears.
