Biography

(hed)pe is an American rock band from Huntington Beach, California. Formed in 1994, the band is known for its eclectic genre-crossing style, including elements of nu metal, rap rock, punk rock, reggae, hip hop, and hardcore punk. The band has described its sound as "G-punk", a fusion of gangsta rap and punk rock.

After releasing three albums on Jive Records, (hed)pe left the label and continued recording independently. The band later signed with Suburban Noize Records, where they released several albums between the mid-2000s and early 2010s. Since 2014, the band has been associated with Pavement Music.

The band has released numerous studio albums, live releases, compilations, EPs, and singles, building a long-running catalog within the nu metal, rap rock, and underground alternative scenes.
