FTP
This tutorial outlines how to configure an FTP client on Windows 10.
We highly recommend WinSCP or FileZilla as your FTP client. WinSCP is fantastic but can be a little slower with uploads than FileZilla. If you download FileZilla from outside of the link above, watch out for sponsored bundles during installation.
Steps
1. Download your Client
2. Install the software following the on-screen instructions.
3. Launch your Client
4. In the Site Manager, configure the following:
Host: Enter your FTP server address (you'll get this in the Discord channel) Port: 21 Protocol: FTP – File Transfer Protocol Encryption: Use explicit FTP over TLS if available Logon Type: Normal Username / Password: Enter your provided credentials
5. Click Connect
6. Highlight what you want to upload and click and drag over to the right. You should see files loading up in the queue.
Other Nonsense you need to know
1. Please upload just audio files, scans or dvds (uncompressed)
2. There is no size limit or quota for your account.
3. Anyone uploading anything that doesn't pertain to the archive will be ban, this is your warning.
4. Last and most important thing to know! PLEASE upload an empty text document that says "COMPLETE" when everything is done so I know I can move what you've uploaded
5. The FTP might be down for a little bit from time to time, its me just moving stuff to the archive.
