Biography

Backstab were a French Nu Metal band with Electronic & Drum N Bass elements that formed back in 1995. The band released 2 full albums, 2 singles and a demo as well as appearing on a number of compilations over the years. The band also contributed a remix for Fear Factory (for the track 'Smasher/Devourer') which became an "Obsolete" B-Side. Over the years the group shared the stage with the likes of Nihil, Pleymo, Urban Dance Squad, Artsonic, Tripod & Watcha as well as many others. Little is known about the end of the band, but their last release came in 2005 with their second full length "Futura". Members of the band have name checked groups like Senser, Infectious Grooves, Asian Dub & The Beastie Boys as early influences on their creativity.
