'''Bio 2005:''' Five kids, from the region of Vevey-Switzerland, between 16 and 18 years old started a band called Missing Link. Majorly influenced by Rage against the machine, Downset, Biohazard and the Beastie Boys, the music, at the time, was already about blending metal and rap. Only after 5 months of existence, Missing Link already demonstrated a strong potential. They were first discovered as an opening act for Sugar Ray in February 1996 at the «Rocking Chair» club-Vevey.That year, the band also played at the «NED» club-Montreux, «Animai» festival-Vevey, and «Globulle» club-Bulle. In January 1997, Missing Link produced its first and only four tracks CD. Later they discovered that another band was called «Missing Links». The same five guys decided to change the band's name to Twisted with the edition of a second guitarplayer. Twisted started to produce a heavier and deeper music. Getting their influence from Sepultura, Korn,Tool, Deftones, the compositions turned to be more serious and mature. In summer 1997,Twisted performed their first concert, opening the stage for the swiss band Shovel at the «Abraxas» club-Lausanne. Later, the same year, the band was selected to play for the «Sudio one» contest on the national television. In summer 1998, the drummer, Yves Bianchi changed his position in the structure to become the DJ, he has been replaced by the actual drummer Fabien Vodoz. With guitarplayers Laurent Bellay and Jérôme Vollmy, the band produce a two tracks demo. The song «Shot» was played on national radios and by more than 70 french radios. After a major members loss in 1999, the drummer and the bassplayer, Wassim Abdulla, found themselves to be the only survivors. Firmly motivated and decided to keep the band alive, they recorded a one track demo of the song «Paradox» featuring «The Chakal» and former singer Lionel Zingaro. The song has also been played by more than 70 french radiosThe rythm section didn't stop composing and finally found the missing members to the structure. Between February and April, the arrival of DJ Enoz, the two guitar players, Fredo Conte and Bassel Tabet, and the new singers,Vincent Huther and Jason Jones the New Yorker, gave the opportunity for Twisted to play on stage again. Guest MC and formrer member of Twisted, Joris Rossier brought a third voice for some major concerts. Indeed, the band was selected to play in the Swiss finals of the «Tremplins rock des Eurockéennes de Belfort», and finished second. In July 2000, the formation performed at the «Montreux Jazz Festival», opening act for Silmarils and Sonic Youth. Without any hesitation, the band produced their first four tracks album and played a couple of gigs with the frenchband Watcha. When DJ Enoz and Fredo left, Jérôme Renevey, the new guitarplayer, joined the band (in January 2001). Jason being from New York couldn't stay legally in Switzerland and was forced to go back home. At this time he's still stuck and struggling in the Big Apple. After a series of a short member version gigs in Spring 2001,Twisted paticipated in the compilation of the AFM.They presented a new song, «Short love», introducing the singing of Wassim in order to keep a certain duality in the vocals. At this time, Twisted is still an autoproduced band with no label, trying to concentrate on making music and expressing their emotions through their instuments...

== Biography ==
(From 2007)

Incorporating melody, brutality, and beauty to respire a stagnant music industry are Scapegoat: the five-piece hard rock band hailing from Charlotte, North Carolina. Established in 1999, Scapegoat has proven adamant with their driven work ethic to create inventive and passionate compositions. The band, comprised of Justin Driscoll (guitar), Daniel Hitselberger (drums), Dan Royer (bass), Kit Walters (vocals), and Spencer Bensch (guitar), are relentless in their pursuits to satisfy onlookers and capture new audiences. This band does everything a rock group should, without adhersing to the boring steadfast rules that produce generic, uninspiring acts.

Members Justin Driscoll, Dan Royer, and Dan Hitselberger began playing together in 1998. After several months of searching, they found vocalist Kit Walters in the summer of 1998. From that day forward it was an instant match. The band thrived on their love for music, soon making it their only life goal. They entered the studio in 2000 to record their first tracks. In 2002, after a successful debut CD and the release of their sophomore effort ''Element of Design'', Scapegoat was quickly becoming common conversation. Countless live shows and promotion aided their rapid yet consistent movement of product.

In 2004 the band released their highly anticipated creation ''These Cards We're Dealt'' to a sold-out home town. The CD has sold over 9656 units since February 2004, making Scapegoat the 2nd largest east coast seller according to Music ''Monitor Magazine''. 2004 also saw the addition of second guitarist Spencer Bensch into the line up. Scapegoat is made up of five individuals who are committed to each other as friends, and to making music. They all have one goal in mind, to write creative and inspiring music. For the band, the maturation of the members as both writers and musicians has been the most rewarding process.

Scapegoat has been described as one of the finest units around, as well as the most versatile, dynamically gliding from catchy choruses to head snapping chaos, with a solid vocal performance. Courtney Devores of The ''Charlotte Observer'' proclaims “Scapegoat straddles metal, math rock, hardcore, and emo with a good balance of pop hooks.” Along with the band comes their frenetic, nonstop, live energy and unharnessed emotion, which are the reasons why fans turn up in droves at gigs. Their live show remains untouchable complete with schizophrenic fury. Front-man Kit Walters, provides bipolar stage antics and interaction with the audience, which are flamboyantly entertaining. Guitarist Justin Driscoll fly’s through the air as bassist Dan Royer contorts his body or dives into the crowd.

The band has had the privilege of sharing the stage with acts such as The American Idol Fantasia, Finch, God Forbid, Evergreen Terrace, and Dead Poetic. Not to mention a select spot on The WEND 106.5 End of Summer Weenie Roast with Three Doors Down, Staind, & Shinedown Their latest CD, ''Let Our Violins Be Heard'' was released via Raleigh’s own Indie label ''Tragic hero Records'' on October 22, 2005. LOVBH is a musical masterpiece which has received mass media approval including numerous radio interviews and magazine/newspaper reviews. One site claims "Scapegoat has made without a doubt, the best rock record released this year Love them or hate them: This is your band, this is your Scapegoat.

Their last show was officially played on 1/3/2020
Together these two ingredients create a chaotic explosion that will never let your head stop bobbing. From free-styling rap lyrics at the drop of a dime, to the well rehearsed grind of songs such as, “Sonblind” and “40oz to the Face”. Spyndakit has been tearing apart the North shore for the past two years.
<P>
Since their conception in the spring of 1998, when three fourths of Mt. Cyanide (Mr. Terra-izm, J-Midd and Greg Money) decided to take on a new drummer and guitarist, Spyndakit has been defining music in the heavier end of the spectrum. With the welcomed addition of E-duble and Phat Tim the group again headed out to tear shit up. They then acquired local hip-hop DJ “Elliot Ness” (of the Hong Kong in Boston MA), and freelance percussionist “Oakey.” The group has now become an even more complete form of phat terror gripping local venues.
<P>
The group relies on key influences in everything from sound Hip-Hop legends to deafening metal moguls. They use the time spent together, and performances to outlet emotion, and energy in full force. This is a tightly knit family of long time friends with a message to send to every boy and girl of America.
<P>
"This is exactly who we are and this is how we get down. Growing up in an inner-city lets you experience both sides of the track,” says guitarist J-Midd. “Yeah and it’s not just, Hey lets put these two music genres together, it’s Hey, I’ve been through these stages musically and now I’m at this point in my expression and orchestration. It’s how we feel and breathe, not just what’s in, or what’s the phattest new sound,” says vocalist Mr. Terra-izm. Mass Chaos (as in Massachusetts) is blowing up everywhere from Godsmack to Staind to (even though they probably wont admit it) Powerman 5000. Spyndakit is riding the next wave for Massachusetts bands.
= Biography =
In December 1994, Okuhira (B) and Kobayashi (G) left COOL ACID SUCKERS, a hard-mix band that could be called "Japan's Red Rock", and started working with ROAD CRUISE, an American hard rock band with a biker feel. CREEPY CRAWL was formed with Ta Yamaguchi (Vo) and Takazawa (Dr) to pursue a harder sound. He was also a member of the band UP TEST, which is still talked about in the scene today)

From the time of their formation, they were always respected by the younger generation, but in 1995 they started their independent project ``Hyakunin Kumite<nowiki>'' once a month, and were active in groups such as WRENCH, COKEHEAD HIPSTERS, and CORRUPTED, and were obsessed with genres and generations. I have continued to engage in activities that I have never done before. In 1996, Kobayashi (G) left the group and was forced to suspend activities for a while, but returned the following year. With the new addition of BUCCI'</nowiki>s Ohba (G), the band has refined its more aggressive sound to the present.

This work, which they produced after going through COOL ACID SUCKERS and ROAD CRUISE, has an intense groove full of madness and a solid structure with expressiveness that can only be produced by these guys who boast reliable techniques backed by experience. Creating a unique world with sound.

In addition, they performed as the opening act for the Tokyo performance of American LIMP BIZKIT (a newcomer discovered by KORN and currently the most attention-grabbing heaviness band), who recently visited Japan for the first time. It is still fresh in my memory that he appealed his presence as the main character in this work, which was titled the same title.

With a long career and a solid sense of the times, this is a long-awaited album that has been completed in the fourth year since the band's formation.
Grum was formed in Phoenix, AZ around 1994 from the fragments of clownknife and Dominion (both bands based out of Savannah, GA). Grum was a Metal project that received accolades from the local and West Coast metal scene. Grum's ''Unworship'' was at one time in the top 5 metal albums in Arizona.

It was reported that Grum was in the process of being signed by Sony Records but that process was halted when Stephen, the singer, did not want to "sell out" and as a consequence the band broke up. Stephen and Jason went on to form Vomitus in 1995.

== Biography ==
HELIO have been a constant force to be reckoned with since their emergence onto the heavy music scene in Northeast Tennessee. They are a six-piece (voice, guitars, drums, bass, and noise) outfit known as much for their musically diverse sound as their incendiary live performances. HELIO never fails to grasp, conquer, and destroy the senses of listeners, audiences and critics alike.
<P>
Although HELIO have been unfairly pigeon-holed into different musical categories, the band prefers to remain uncategorizable. Drawing influences ranging from punk and hardcore to death metal and industrial, they assimilate genres together seamlessly, creating a mixture potentially more destructive than napalm. HELIO spits in the face of adversity and through combined dysfunctions remain defiantly radical in thought and fiercely independent in spirit.
<P>
Their first full length recording "Perfect Mistake" was released independently in 2000. Although, soundwise, they have matured since this recording, the energy of the music is still present in HELIO today. If anything, the group is more focused, fully capable of annihilating eardrums beyond the new millennium. HELIO are constantly evolving and participating in different musical projects, opening minds and breaking down every barrier in their way. They have shared the stage with national acts such as Lollipop Lust Kill, The Pietasters, the Step Kings, and Jepetto as well as the notorious 2 Live Crew. They also recently played two dates on the 2002 vans warped tour and shared stages with acts such as Beloved, Hopesfall, the Halo Friendlies and Stretch Armstrong.
<P>
HELIO have just released their new album(the first in almost 3 years)entitled "...until i wake up bleeding..." recorded at the legendary Austin Enterprise (Mass.) with producer Steve Austin of Today Is The Day fame. The album is a drastic change, both musically and emotionally, from previous releases. However, this harsh transition is absolutely necessary to the evolution of the band and thus far is their most profound and accomplished work to date. Clocking in at just over 54 minutes with absolutely no pauses between tracks, the album plays like a fractured and jagged concept album, custom made to play over and over again at maximum volume with repeated themes, subliminal messages and disturbing interludes firmly intact. You can check out 3 songs from the new album at www.mp3.com/helio.
<P>
Just like a brutal interstate accident...they demand your attention.
<P>
Like the sound of helpless animals being butchered...you can't get them out of your head.
<P>
As pleasant as a punch in the face...
<P>
THIS IS HELIO.
= Biography =
'''Eastcide formed in the <s>mid</s> 90's. Breaking the mold indefinitely with their heavy sound and undeniable groove. They were gaining much attention among their peers. By far one of the first bands on the east coast ever to introduce hip-hop into the metal/hardcore scene. Jakob D. with his hard hitting lyrics, and introducing turntablist Markie B. into the band, they were gaining much attention in their local scene. Creating such songs as "Glowbox" and "Uagain", Champy and Ryan's innovative guitar styles were putting them in a status all their own. Later bringing in their astounding drummer Swifty, and bass prodigy Luke. Eastcide had formed into a force to be reckoned with.'''

'''Over 20,000 people caught Eastcide at Locobazooka "99" in Worcester, MA. Playing with such acts as Slipknot, Primus, Static-X, Staind, Coal Chamber as well as many other national and local acts. Eastcide's performance blew the crowd away; they were a sure crowd pleaser for fans new and old. Receiving rave reviews from local reporters and radio stations. Eastcide definitely proved their popularity, without a doubt. Rocking every venue, their fan base is spreading like a virus.'''

'''Now with their latest effort the "Eastcide EP", Eastcide is creating music of such power, that of like they would have never thought. Their musical structure keeps on growing as time goes on, better and better for sure. With such songs as "Bucolic" and "Grow High" the band is showing a whole new face to their music. Eastcide is blowing up, and coming to your town soon so get up, get out, and Join the Cult!'''
